An illegal immigrant has bagged Sixty years of jail time for killing the man who harbored him after he crossed illegally into the U.S. The 25-year-old Honduran Yery Noel Medina Ulloa confessed to killing Francisco Javier Cuellar, who took him into his care in 2021.

Ulloa beat the border security by posing as an unaccompanied minor. He had told the authorities he was 17 years old at the time of his entry into the U.S. Days after Ulloa deceived the authorities, the police arrested him after the blood trail of the deceased led to him. He was detained in a juvenile detention facility until Ulloa’s real age and identity were revealed.

Ulloa didn’t keep his border adventure private. He told his mum Wendy Florencia Ulloa about how he managed to cross to the other side.

“When he entered the U.S. he told me, Mommy, I didn’t go in with my name. I went in with the name of another person because right there at the shelter, they helped me,” Wendy said in her statement.

President Joe Biden’s weak border policies are again responsible for the death of another U.S. citizen. 

Cuellar’s daughter, Mary Carmen, told The Post she believes Ulloa was on one of the controversial flights the Biden administration secretly used to resettle underage immigrants in many parts of the country.

Federal policy on unaccompanied minors meant that Ulloa, who posed as one, had to be put in a shelter rather than denied entry.

Narrating a phone call after her son’s entry, Wendy said Ulloa referred to Cuellar as his uncle. Despite the absence of any family ties, Ulloa assured his mum of his safety, saying his host treated him like a son.

A state attorney Melissa Nelson lamented the federal government’s inadequacies amid the looming border crisis in the U.S. 

“As we have seen time and time again, the federal government’s failure to secure our nation’s border has led to a travesty in a local community. This time, tragically, it was our community after an illegal alien murdered an innocent man. This 60-year sentence, however, ensures Medina Ulloa will never be able to harm another law-abiding citizen,” Nelson said in a statement.

The change Biden promised the U.S. citizens while campaigning has made the country’s border porous. Although Democrats criticized President Donald Trump’s “zero tolerance” border policy, Americans enjoyed far more safety relative to its current reality.
