FBI Raids Home Of Campaign Consultant For Eric Adams

New York City Mayor Eric Adams found himself at the center of controversy after the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) executed a search warrant at the Brooklyn home of his campaign consultant, Brianna Suggs.

The FBI’s search of Suggs’ home was reportedly conducted to uncover if Adams’ campaign had engaged in unscrupulous practices with the Turkish government by accepting illegal foreign donations, as reported by the Post Millennial.

The FBI is also investigating whether a Brooklyn construction company and a university in Washington, D.C., that could be tied to Turkey are also related to Adam’s campaign.

The agency inquired “whether the mayor’s campaign kicked back benefits to the construction company’s officials and employees, and to Turkish officials,” per the New York Times.

“Investigators sought evidence to support potential charges that included the theft of federal funds and conspiracy to steal federal funds, wire fraud and wire fraud conspiracy, as well as campaign contributions by foreign nationals and conspiracy to make such contributions,” the outlet reported.

FBI agents recently descended upon Suggs’ home on Lincoln Place and proceeded to search. Suggs has not been arrested in the matter but was questioned during the search.

Adams had been on his way to Washington, D.C., to try and force the Biden administration to tackle the immigration crisis that has devastated New York City. But amid the FBI’s search, Adams said he had to return to the Big Apple “to deal with a matter.”

The New York City mayor said that he’s held his campaign “to the highest ethical standards,” adding that law enforcement has not contacted him specifically regarding the matter.

Adams says that while he was Brooklyn’s borough president, he took at least six or seven trips to Turkey, with all expenses paid by the Turkish government.

The FBI seized several items from Suggs’ home, including iPhones, two laptops, papers, a “manila folder labeled Eric Adams,” and stacks of contribution cards, among other possessions.

Suggs served as the coordinator for Adams’ campaign in 2021, where he raised nearly $20 million. To date, she has been able to garner $900,000 for Adams’ 2025 reelection campaign.
