Ocasio-Cortez Falsely Claims Trump ‘Ordered A Terrorist Attack’ On Jan. 6
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) made false and defamatory statements about former President Donald Trump during a recent interview on CNN — declaring that the presumptive Republican presidential nominee had “ordered a terrorist attack” on the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021.
The Jan. 6 Capitol protests have been confirmed to be largely peaceful thanks to the release of footage from that day by House Republicans, though there were many individuals who fought with Capitol Police officers and damaged Capitol property. However, the notion that the protests were a “terrorist attack” is laughable — especially as the Democrat-supported George Floyd riots were much more violent, chaotic and deadly than Jan. 6, but none of the rioters were charged nearly as severely as Jan. 6 defendants.

Trump has also been proven to have still been giving a speech miles away from the Capitol when the protests began, while also telling the crowd to “peacefully and patriotically” protest that day. Despite this evidence, leftists like Ocasio-Cortez have desperately tried to paint the false narrative that Trump incited an “insurrection” — though the New York congresswoman’s latest remarks took those falsities to a new level.
The discussion began when CNN’s Jake Tapper, host of “State of the Union,” mentioned the various criminal indictments that Trump is facing from President Joe Biden’s weaponized Department of Justice (DOJ). He then asked Ocasio-Cortez about the growing concerns from American voters about the clear political persecution Trump is facing.
“What do you say to a voter who says, ‘Well that doesn’t look like he’s being treated equally before the law, that looks like somebody that the government is going after,’” Tapper asked.
“This is not about party. This is not about politics. This is about corruption and criminality,” Ocasio-Cortez claimed before falsely asserting: “We’re talking about an individual who ordered essentially a terrorist attack on the Capitol of the United States in order to retain power.”
“That is not about being a Republican. It is not about being a Democrat,” she argued. “It’s about being an unethical individual, an individual who is subject and prone to criminality.”
“And unfortunately, this is the state that we’re in. And I actually think that the fact that it’s happening in so many places and so many jurisdictions cuts in the face of that,” Ocasio-Cortez added.

Meanwhile, polling shows that every time Trump is targeted by Democrats’ lawfare, his poll numbers increase.
