NBC News, MSNBC Hire Ronna McDaniel As Contributor

NBC News has hired disgraced former Republican National Committee (RNC) chairwoman Ronna McDaniel to be a contributor for both NBC and MSNBC. While conservatives are not surprised by the move, leftists are outraged.

Conservative voters have long been calling for McDaniel’s ouster or retirement from the RNC, and they finally got their wish earlier this year. The former RNC chairwoman has been blamed for election losses under her tenure — with conservatives calling her out for refusing to fund grassroots efforts, failing to bring in donations, supporting RINOs and allowing leftists to moderate GOP debates.

McDaniel has since been replaced by former North Carolina Republican Party chair Michael Whatley, with former President Donald Trump’s daughter-in-law Lara Trump joining him as co-chair of the RNC.

After news broke of her resignation from the RNC, many speculated that McDaniel would follow the path of many other establishment RINOs who have left office — getting hired as the “token Republican” on a left-wing network or at the very least being a featured guest on leftist shows. One of the biggest examples of this in recent years was disgraced former Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY), who has become a fixture on CNN after her embarrassing defeat in the GOP primary by Rep. Harriet Hageman (R-WY).

McDaniel’s debut appearance on NBC News is scheduled for Sunday, March 24, where she will be joining “Meet the Press.”

According to a Friday report from the New York Times, McDaniel is also going to be making appearances on NBC’s far-left network, MSNBC.

The outlet quoted a memo from Carrie Budoff Brown, who oversees NBC News political coverage, which stated: “It couldn’t be a more important moment to have a voice like Ronna’s on the team.”

Brown also claimed in the memo that McDaniel would provide “an insider’s perspective on national politics and the future of the Republican Party.”

NBC will also feature McDaniel in its coverage of the 2024 campaign, including on election nights.

Meanwhile, social media lit up after news of McDaniel’s new gig broke. Leftists immediately expressed outrage over the move, labeling the former RNC chairwoman “far-right” and claiming she was “MAGA” — despite the fact that McDaniel, niece of RINO Sen. Mitt Romney (R-UT), is despised by “MAGA” supporters.

“A message to @NBC & @MSNBC: News programs are like restaurants. If you have a bad meal at a restaurant you never go back. One bad experience & you NEVER go back. Think twice about putting MAGA on your shows (Ronna McDaniel). You may lose all your viewers & advertisers,” one leftist user wrote in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Far-left “journalist” Aaron Rupar was also angered by the move, calling it “disgraceful.”

Conservatives, on the other hand, responded to the news by mocking McDaniel and questioning whether this explained her failures as RNC chairwoman.

“Ronna Romney McDaniel just got hired by NBC News… which was probably her entire goal when she was loading up on botox and losing every election as RNC chair,” wrote comedian Tim Young.

“The RNC should be so proud of itself. Ronna McDaniel joins NBC/MSNBC and will be the second RNC Chairperson teaming up with Michael Steele to join the network. And we wonder why we’ve been losing for decades!” another user wrote.

“We need a forensic audit of every last action and communication by Ronna McRomney in her role as head of the RNC. Something stinks to high heaven and the NBC job looks like a payoff,” wrote The Virginia Project, a conservative political action committee (PAC).

“How fitting is it that Ronna is joining the Russian Collusion Hoaxers at NBC News? How shocking!” commentator Benny Johnson joked, sharing a viral video of then-Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy blasting McDaniel to her face during a GOP primary debate.
