House Speaker’s Top Advisor Worked As Lobbyist For Pro-Ukraine Firms
Speaker of the House Mike Johnson (R-LA), who promised the American people that he would not waste their taxpayer dollars on funding the neverending war in Ukraine without at least securing the southern border first, has once again betrayed his constituents — and now Americans know why.
Johnson’s top policy advisor has been found to have significant ties to pro-Ukraine corporations, as he previously worked as a lobbyist for Williams & Jensen. This firm has a client list that includes several companies that have issued statements in support of Ukraine — including VISA, asset management firm Vanguard Group, and a myriad of Big Pharma companies such as Amgen, Eli Lilly & Co, Pfizer, Sanofi and Merck. Many of these companies have even cut back or entirely eliminated their business activities in Russia.
Another former client of Ziegler’s was Bloom Energy Corp., a company that provides energy services to U.S. arms supply giant Lockheed Martin, which benefits heavily from war. Bloom itself has also benefited from the impact of war and the associated sanctions on the traditional energy market, as the company specializes in renewable energy.

With Ziegler’s past lobbying for all of these pro-Ukraine corporations, it comes as no surprise that he was able to change Johnson’s mind on funneling more American taxpayer dollars to the corrupt country — especially as the House Speaker has repeatedly shown his weakness to being swayed to support the establishment’s wishlist, such as his recent decision to vote against requiring the federal government to obtain a warrant before using FISA to spy on Americans.
BREAKING IN WASHINGTON: The House has voted 273-147 to extend FISA Section 702 warrantless surveillance authority until 2026, surpassing the April 19 deadline. Americans will now be spied on without the need for a warrant, thanks to a push by Speaker Mike Johnson and White House pic.twitter.com/OBcb6U5yYU

Many on social media have questioned how the establishment had gotten to Johnson, arguing that there must have been some threats, promises or coercion behind the scenes to convince him to change his stance on such a major issue.
They really got to this guy. He got the full back room shakedown. https://t.co/36B75KZn9P

Johnson previously vowed on numerous occasions that he would not allow any bill to fund Ukraine to receive a vote on the House floor without first passing strong border security legislation. Of course, that all mysteriously changed this week.
Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk shared a compilation of Johnson’s previous comments in a post on X.
“Mike Johnson told us REPEATEDLY no Ukraine money without border security. We’ve gotten the exact opposite,” he wrote, explaining that the House Speaker put forward four bills, which give $61 billion to Ukraine, $26 billion to Israel and $8 billion to Taiwan that includes a TikTok ban, along with a separate bill to give Ukraine even more taxpayer money in the form of a “loan” that the corrupt country will likely never pay back.
Kirk went on to point out that backlash in the form of “considerable feedback from members” forced Johnson to offer up a weak fifth bill to address the border — adding, “we’re told it’s some semblance of H.R. 2, which will be ignored by the Senate. What on earth happened, Mr. Speaker?”
