Dan Crenshaw’s Hot Mic Threat Against Tucker Carlson Sparks Outrage

Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R-TX), known for his repeated criticism of President Donald Trump and his supporters, is caught on a hot mic making a violent remark about conservative commentator Tucker Carlson. In an interview with Great Britain News, Crenshaw was asked if he had ever met Carlson. His response was blunt: “If I ever meet him, I’d f***ing kill him,” followed by calling Carlson “the worst person ever.”
The remark quickly spread across social media, drawing backlash from conservatives who see Crenshaw as an establishment politician out of step with the America-First movement. Many Trump supporters have long viewed Crenshaw as a Republican-in-name-only, aligning more with globalist priorities than nationalist values. Elon Musk responded on X, questioning why Crenshaw had such strong feelings toward Carlson.

Carlson, never one to back down from a fight, responded directly to Crenshaw’s words. “Why don’t you come sit for an interview and we’ll see how you do? I’ll send you my address,” he posted. Crenshaw, however, did not accept the invitation.

The animosity between the two has been ongoing, particularly over foreign policy. Crenshaw has defended U.S. aid to Ukraine, previously stating that the goal was not to secure Ukraine’s victory but to weaken Russia’s military. Carlson, who has been critical of endless foreign wars, has repeatedly called out this strategy as an example of Washington sacrificing lives for political gain.

Crenshaw has also launched personal attacks against Carlson, calling him a “click-chaser” and claiming he spreads “false narratives” to gain influence. Carlson, in turn, has mocked Crenshaw as “Eye Patch McCain,” drawing comparisons to the late Sen. John McCain’s interventionist foreign policy.

Crenshaw brushed off criticism of his hot mic moment when Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) questioned him about it. Great Britain News reporter Steven Edgington, who recorded the incident, confirmed the remark was real, writing, “We literally have it on video.” Though X initially removed the footage, it continues to be reshared by Trump supporters online.
