Biden’s Migrant App Now a Tool for Tracking and Removing Illegal Immigrants

The CBP One app, once used under Biden’s administration to facilitate the entry of more than a million illegal immigrants, has been completely repurposed by President Donald Trump’s administration. Now called “CBP Home,” the app no longer schedules border crossings but instead encourages illegal aliens to voluntarily leave before facing forced deportation.
DHS Secretary Kristi Noem announced the shift on Monday, explaining that migrants now have the option to submit their “Intent to Depart.” This allows them to leave on their own terms rather than risk being detained and removed by ICE.

TRUMP: This one. And I want that same color. [Red Model S Plaid]
REPORTERS: How are you paying?
TRUMP: I'll give him a check. I do it the old fashioned way […] And I don't want a discount.

Under Biden, CBP One functioned as an entry pipeline, allowing migrants to secure parole appointments and fly directly into the U.S. That system ended the moment Trump returned to office. All pending appointments were revoked, and the app’s original functionality was shut down, leaving many migrants stranded outside the country.

Since then, the Trump administration has launched an aggressive deportation campaign, prioritizing the removal of illegal immigrants with prior deportation orders or criminal records. ICE officers have been conducting nationwide sweeps, while border agents report a historic drop in illegal crossings due to heightened enforcement.

As part of the broader crackdown, DHS has rolled out a nationwide media campaign warning migrants to turn back. Ads are running in multiple countries, making it clear that the U.S. will no longer tolerate unlawful entry.
Trump has also mobilized the military to assist in deportation operations, using military transport and detention centers to process removals at an unprecedented pace. Those who refuse to leave voluntarily will face a much harsher fate — arrest, deportation, and a permanent ban from entering the U.S.
