Witches Frustrated That Spells Against Trump Are Failing Due To ‘Shield’
It may be a little late for a spooky Halloween story, but witches across the nation are reportedly trying — and failing — to cast spells against President Donald Trump as Election Day nears. Some believe the former president has a spiritual “shield” that is blocking their magic, leading to frustration among those hoping to prevent his return to office.
On Reddit forums like WitchesVsPatriarchy, witches are sharing their experiences and frustration with failed hexes. Some have tried “freezer spells,” in which Trump’s name is frozen in water to symbolically halt his influence, but many are saying their spells seem ineffective. One practitioner called his protection “flimsy but sufficient,” while others speculate that prayers from Trump’s supporters may be creating a barrier they can’t break.

Discouraged, some witches are advising against directly hexing Trump, recommending that they focus spells on supporting Vice President Kamala Harris instead. They argue that positive energy toward Harris may yield better results, as hexes on Trump only seem to strengthen his shield.
Trump has often spoken about what he describes as divine protection, especially after narrowly surviving an assassination attempt in Pennsylvania. Many of his supporters continue to pray for his safety, which some witches believe could be responsible for blocking their spells.

Meanwhile, the popularity of witchcraft has surged on social media platforms like TikTok, where videos on spells and rituals under the WitchTok hashtag have drawn millions of views. Yet former practitioners warn of potential dangers. Jenny Weaver, once a witch herself, now a Christian minister, cautions that witchcraft brought her only darkness and fear.
With Election Day close, frustrated witches are left debating how to proceed. As Trump’s “shield” persists, his supporters see it as further evidence of divine intervention.
