Trump Leaves Haley And Pompeo Out Of New Cabinet Plans

President-elect Donald Trump announced that Nikki Haley and Mike Pompeo will not be part of his upcoming administration, marking a shift in personnel as he prepares for his second term. In a Truth Social post on Saturday, Trump stated, “I will not be inviting former Ambassador Nikki Haley, or former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, to join the Trump Administration, which is currently in formation.” He added, “I very much enjoyed and appreciated working with them previously, and would like to thank them for their service to our Country.”

Haley responded on X with a diplomatic message, praising her previous work with Trump at the United Nations and wishing him success. “I wish him, and all who serve, great success in moving us forward to a stronger, safer America over the next four years,” she wrote.

Trump’s decision to exclude Haley and Pompeo reflects his effort to assemble a team that aligns with his vision for his second term. The move comes after both figures pursued their own political ambitions. Haley challenged Trump during the Republican primaries, while Pompeo has often been viewed as a potential presidential contender.
