Trump Introduces ‘Operation Aurora’ To Rid US Of Violent Migrant Gangs
At a rally in Aurora, Colorado, President Donald Trump announced “Operation Aurora,” a plan designed to remove illegal immigrant gangs from the US if he wins re-election. Trump focused on the Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua, which has caused violence in Aurora, as an example of the broader problem of illegal immigration under the Biden-Harris administration.
Trump vowed that his plan would rescue towns across America from migrant gangs, promising that Nov. 5, 2024, would be “liberation day” for the country. He criticized Vice President Kamala Harris and President Joe Biden for allowing illegal immigration to grow, which he said has contributed to increased violence in cities like Aurora.
The plan includes the use of the Alien Enemies Act of 1798, a law that would allow Trump to deport illegal immigrants from countries that threaten the US. He said elite law enforcement teams, including ICE and Border Patrol agents, would be deployed to find and deport migrant gang members swiftly.
Trump also called for the death penalty for any migrant who kills an American citizen or law enforcement officer. He added that illegal immigrants who return after being deported would face a mandatory 10-year prison sentence without the possibility of parole.
In addition, Trump promised to push for a ban on sanctuary cities, including Denver, and initiate the largest deportation effort in the history of the United States. He urged Coloradans to vote for him, framing the 2024 election as a fight for American sovereignty.
