Trump Creates Task Force To Investigate Anti-Christian Bias In Federal Government

President Donald Trump has ordered the formation of a task force dedicated to eliminating anti-Christian discrimination in federal agencies, appointing Attorney General Pam Bondi to spearhead the effort. The move, announced at the National Prayer Breakfast, comes after years of what Trump describes as targeted government actions against Christian individuals and institutions.
The executive order mandates the task force to examine policies within the Department of Justice, the FBI, and the IRS, with a focus on reversing regulations that have unfairly impacted religious Americans. Trump called out the Biden administration for its “persecution” of believers and pledged to put an end to government hostility toward Christian values.
Trump specifically pointed to instances where federal authorities targeted religious Americans, including the Biden Justice Department’s prosecution of anti-abortion activists and reports of federal surveillance on conservative Christian groups. His administration has pledged to reverse these policies and restore religious liberty protections.
The initiative goes beyond just investigating government agencies. Trump also announced a commission on religious liberty that will provide recommendations for legislative and executive actions to further protect Christian rights. In addition, he launched the White House Faith Office to help faith-based organizations engage with the federal government.
Conservative legal groups quickly praised the effort, with First Liberty Institute’s Kelly Shackelford stating, “We are ready to stand with President Trump to ensure that the religious liberty of every American is safe and secure.”
Trump’s announcement signals a significant shift in federal policy, with his administration making religious freedom a top priority as it works to undo policies that have marginalized Christian Americans in government, education, and public life.
