Musk Criticizes Support For Ukraine As War Deaths Continue With No End In Sight

Elon Musk voiced frustration in a Fox News interview this week, sharply criticizing U.S. leaders who continue pushing military aid to Ukraine while offering no strategy to bring the war to an end. Speaking with anchor Brett Baier, Musk warned that the fighting has led to countless deaths without meaningful progress.

When Baier asked Musk about his recent social media post accusing Sen. Mark Kelly (D-AZ) of being a traitor for supporting more weapons for Ukraine, Musk said the U.S. should put American interests first. “If they don’t, they’re a traitor,” he said, defending his original comment.

Musk said that even though Kelly is a military veteran and a sitting senator, that doesn’t excuse prioritizing another nation over the U.S. He told Baier, “It doesn’t mean it’s okay for him to put the interests of another country above America.”

The conversation then turned to the conflict itself. Musk described the war as a costly stalemate, with soldiers dying in trenches every day. He pointed out that despite years of intense fighting, there has been little to no change in territorial control. “Thousands of people have died every week for nothing,” Musk said.

He also expressed deep frustration with those he sees as using moral posturing to justify prolonging the war. “Those who virtue signal and say, ‘Oh, we can’t give in to Russia,’ but have no solution to stopping thousands of kids dying every day. They just want that to continue forever,” Musk said.

According to Musk, the lack of a peace plan means more families continue to suffer. He said the human cost is measured in children growing up without fathers and parents losing their sons. “For what? Nothing,” Musk said.

Musk believes the only realistic outcome will be a negotiated peace. He questioned why that path isn’t being prioritized while so many continue to die.
