Left-Wing Dark Money Pushes Abortion And Ranked-Choice Voting In Nevada

A surge of left-wing dark money is flooding into Nevada, aiming to influence the upcoming vote on two major issues — abortion and ranked-choice voting. Reports show millions of dollars from progressive organizations being funneled into campaigns to enshrine these policies into the state constitution.
The political action committee Nevadans for Reproductive Freedom is leading the charge to establish a “fundamental right to abortion” in the state. They raised $6.6 million last quarter, with significant contributions from left-leaning groups like Advocacy Action Fund and the Tides Foundation. The initiative, known as Question 6, would further solidify abortion access in a state where abortion is already permitted under broad circumstances.
At the same time, another left-wing effort seeks to pass Question 3, which would impose a ranked-choice voting (RCV) system. Critics of RCV call it “rigged-choice voting,” arguing it can manipulate outcomes in favor of certain candidates. The group Yes on 3, pushing for this change, collected $13.9 million in contributions last quarter, with donations coming from groups like Unite America and Article IV.
Nevada Republicans and even some Democrats oppose both measures, warning they could change the political landscape of the state for years to come.
