FBI Criticized For Employee’s Disturbing Comments After Trump Assassination Attempt

An individual claiming to work for the FBI has sparked outrage by expressing disappointment that the assassination attempt on President Donald Trump at a Pennsylvania rally was unsuccessful. The incident has raised serious questions about political biases within the agency.
Jenna Howell, who identified herself as an FBI employee, posted inflammatory comments on social media following the attack. Statements like “don’t miss next time” and “so close” shocked many, revealing a troubling reaction to the violent incident. Howell also criticized those mourning the attack, posting, “Y’all gun-toting, 2nd Amendment-loving hillbillies better just sit down and stay quiet unless you’re gonna change your mind on gun control.”
Details on how the shooter obtained the firearm have not been released by law enforcement. The FBI’s neutrality is being questioned, particularly in light of such remarks from someone claiming to be part of the agency.
Former FBI analyst Chris Toompas, who claims to have worked with Howell, condemned her actions. Howell previously worked in the NICS Firearms Background Check Unit and is currently with the FBI’s Identity Research Department. Toompas criticized the environment within the FBI, stating, “The only thing leftists love to do is hate those who disagree with them, and in this instance, wish for their death.”
Toompas also recounted his own experience with Howell, saying, “I went to Facebook during my suspension to voice my disdain for the mandate and share my suspension story. When I did so, [Howell] threatened to report me to the FBI for violating the FBI’s Facebook policy. The irony.”
Reports of anti-Trump sentiments among FBI employees are not new. Whistleblowers have previously claimed that the agency has forced out employees who openly support Trump.
The FBI has not yet commented on Howell’s alleged remarks or whether any disciplinary actions will be taken. This incident highlights concerns about political neutrality within federal agencies, especially following such a serious event.
As the investigation continues, the FBI’s ability to manage internal biases and uphold impartiality will likely be scrutinized. This controversy underscores the importance of ensuring that personal political views do not interfere with professional duties and public trust in federal institutions.
