Democrats Falling Behind In Key States, CNN Analyst Says ‘Math Doesn’t Work’

CNN political analyst Marc Lotter, former Trump 2020 communications director, says early voting data indicates a challenging path for Democrats in battleground states. Lotter’s breakdown of the numbers suggests that Democrats may struggle to win these pivotal states as Election Day approaches.

“The math doesn’t work,” Lotter stated, referring to significant gaps in early voting. He explained that Democrats are currently trailing by 1.7 million votes in urban battleground areas, where they typically rely on strong early voting support. This shortfall raises concerns about whether the party can close the gap before the final ballots are cast.

In addition to weak urban turnout, Democrats are also behind among women voters. Lotter noted that Democrats are “down 1.4 million votes in the battleground states among women voters,” a figure that suggests potential enthusiasm issues within a key Democratic demographic.

Rural turnout, on the other hand, has been strong for Republicans. Lotter pointed out that rural voters—who are more likely to support the GOP—have “overperformed early by 300,000.” This surge could give Republicans a much-needed advantage in battleground regions.

Lotter explained that Democrats traditionally rely on early votes to secure a lead, while Republicans often see higher turnout on Election Day. “Democrats have to win their races early; Republicans generally win them on Election Day,” he stated, emphasizing the importance of early voting for Democrats.

With early numbers favoring Republicans, a strong turnout today could help them lock in these battleground states for Trump. Republican enthusiasm and turnout may ultimately decide the outcome in favor of the GOP, potentially leading to a reversal of damage done domestically and internationally by the Biden-Harris regime.
