4 Arrested In $75K Jewelry Robbery, Linked To Venezuelan Gang Tren De Aragua

Four men believed to be members of the violent Venezuelan street gang Tren de Aragua were arrested in Texas following a $75,000 jewelry heist in Northwest Dallas. The robbery took place on September 21, when the suspects assaulted a woman in her garage, tied her up and stole valuable jewelry.
The suspects, Yean Brayhan Torralba, 20, Alberto Martinez Silva, 34, Manuel Hernandez-Hernandez, 28, and Wilmer Colmenares Gonzalez, 27, were tracked down through surveillance footage and fingerprint evidence. While three were quickly detained, Gonzalez barricaded himself in a residence and engaged in an eight-hour standoff with police before his eventual arrest.
Tren de Aragua, known for its involvement in various criminal enterprises such as human trafficking and drug smuggling, has reportedly expanded its operations into the U.S. amid the recent surge of migrants. Authorities are concerned about the gang’s growing influence in cities like New York, where members are suspected of using migrant shelters as bases for crimina activities, including drug trafficking and armed robbery.
This latest arrest has highlighted the increasing reach of the gang in the U.S., raising concerns about public safety and the need for more robust law enforcement measures to combat their operations.
